After High School

Within the three years that I have been out of high school many things in my life have changed. Some for the worst but many for the best. ;-) To begin on a lighter note, I would like to thank everyone that is currently in my life because that obviously means that you have a purpose! ;-) I have been blessed to have been surrounded by many people in my life who care for me tremendously.

If there is ever a situation where I am in need of someone, I know you would fly down from whatever city that you are currently residing in just to be with me! And I thank you for that. Over the years we have had our ups and downs but if we didn't then this would not be a TRUE friendship. What really matters is that you are still currently by my side.

Cakes: My fraternal twin
Even though we are in some ways completely opposite that's what make us so alike sometimes. Whenever I have had a situation that I felt that I could not control you have been there to bring me back to earth and put a smile on my face doing it! You are the person that I know without a doubt would let me have the shirt off of your back. No matter what I have ever needed in my life you have unselfishly been there to help me out!

Mimi… through thick and thin I know that you will always be by my side to keep me laughing and sane! Always telling it how it is and never apologizing for it!

Mike… it's so strange how two people can date for years and end up being as close as we are. I would honestly never change anything that has happened between us because those are the things that have brought us where we are today!

Double Threat … whenever I feel like crying, I know you would always lend a listening ear because that's what best friends are for. You have never failed to give me wry advice and when I don't listen to you I always feel like an ass! Thank you for always being there for me.

Hood.i.e …I fuckin' love you. Although we cannot stay in the same room for more than 5 minutes without arguing, if that were to change then this friendship would be over. There is never a dull moment with you!

Buck(Last but not least)… there is never going to be anyone else in this world who will ever understand me the way you do! You have always been there for me in the situations that have brought me down and I thank you for that. No matter where in the world we may ever end up and how long we may never speak, I know that I will always have a friend in you and you in me!

Some people have a very hard time accepting the fact that some people that you were friends with in high school aren't your friends anymore. That's part of life…move the f**k on and get over it! High school is not a place for you to meet your future husband and "bestest" friends! If you happened to find that along the way then you were one of the lucky ones. I myself had to learn that the hard way, but thank God I learned sooner than others. However, high school IS a place for you to learn how to deal with the heartaches and disappointments that the real world has awaiting you. Don't fear the future just be prepared!!!!
